About this course
Course overview
The CSWP-S course. We move from single-part studies to assemblies with global and local contact, then layer in frequency and buckling — the three study types that dominate the Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional – Simulation exam. Every module ends with an exam-style problem solved under time pressure so the format never surprises you.
Curriculum
What you'll cover
Assemblies & Contact
Bonded, no-penetration, and shrink-fit contact, contact-set hierarchy, contact stiffness, and resolving non-convergence.
Connectors & Bolts
Pin, bolt, spring, bearing, and weld connectors. Pre-load, friction, and reading connector force results for downstream hand calcs.
Frequency & Buckling
Modal analysis, mass participation, free vs. constrained modes, linear buckling load factor, and when buckling beats yield.
CSWP-S Exam Lab
Two full-length CSWP-S mock exams under time pressure with line-by-line debrief and the most common failure points.
Outcomes
By the end you'll be able to
- Solve multi-body assembly studies with reliable contact behavior
- Apply the right connector for bolts, pins, and welds without overmodeling
- Run frequency and buckling studies and explain the results to non-analysts
- Sit the CSWP-S exam with two timed mocks already under your belt
Who it's for
