About this course
Course overview
Your launchpad into professional SOLIDWORKS modeling. We cover the sketching discipline that prevents downstream rework, the feature-tree habits that keep parts editable a year later, and the assembly fundamentals that keep mates from breaking when the design changes. Aligned to the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) exam topics so you finish ready to sit the test.
Curriculum
What you'll cover
Day 1 — Sketching & Sketch Relations
Fully-defined sketches, sketch relations, geometry inheritance, and the most common failure modes that punish CSWA candidates.
Day 2 — Part Modeling
Boss/cut features, fillets and chamfers, patterns and mirrors, configurations, and design intent that survives revisions.
Day 3 — Assemblies & Mates
Bottom-up assembly, standard and advanced mates, sub-assemblies, and assembly-driven configurations.
Day 4 — Drawings & CSWA Drill
First-angle vs third-angle, view creation, dimensioning, BOMs, and a timed CSWA-style mock exam with full walkthrough.
Outcomes
By the end you'll be able to
- Build robust, fully-defined sketches and editable parts
